Working for a dynamic, agile Technology / Energy & Renewables organisation in a start-up environment, this role assumes the primary responsibility for overseeing reporting, statutory compliance, and analysis within this organisation. Initially, this role will commence as a 6 month fixed-term contract, however has the genuine opportunity for extension and / or permanency following this period.
The Essential Requirements
Reporting directly into the CFO, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Full accountability for group reporting, consolidations, statutory reporting (listed standards) and external audits.
- Responsible for the preparation of the Group Annual Report, working closely with all stakeholders to ensure accurate report is delivered in line with year-end timetable.
- Deliver accurate and complete month-end results in line with reporting timetable to head office.
- Ensure compliance with the Group’s financial control and governance frameworks and accounting policies.
- Project Lead for the review and enhancement of financial processes, policies and systems.
- Mentor the finance team and drive a learning, coaching, and outcomes focused culture.
- Monthly board reporting ensuring meaningful insight and analysis for strategic decision making.
- Lead the assessment of commercial opportunities and preparing models to assess future profitability of identified opportunities.
- Leading on pricing and commercial arrangements in consultation the CEO.
- Support customer relationship and drive efficiencies to ensure contracts remain financially viable and delivered on budget.
- Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives and business case proposals.
- Have a continual focus on process improvement and assist on ad-hoc tasks as required
Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross-functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will have a strong attention to detail, have worked in a complex & dynamic organisation previously (ideally a listed environment) and be able to commence in a new role relatively immediately.
