The Company:
With a recent acquisition from a Tokyo listed entity they have increased their footprint in the industry making them one of the biggest in NSW, ride the rollercoaster as you watch this company soar.

The Role:
Reporting to a very experienced Group Accounting Lead, as the Accountant you  will be responsible for the accounting work and assist with Consolidation and ad hoc tasks. The accountant will also have a key role in the Tax management for the Group, guided and supported by parent entity’s Tax Director.  Your key responsibilities will include the following:
  • Prepare and post monthly journals, including monthly accruals, prepayments and process intercompany journals
  • Assist in maintenance of Fixed Asset module
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for entities within the group,
  • Perform tax duties in timely manner (monthly BAS submissions, reconcile property credits applied to BAS payments, maintaining Tax Portal, etc)
  • Assist the Tax Director with the tax reporting obligations for the Group (Income Tax Return & Provision workings (incl. JVs) and FBT workpapers)
  • Management of Trust entities within the Group
  • Address regulatory reporting requirements (ABS surveys and other forms/ surveys)
  • Liaise with key stakeholders 
  • Assist with the year-end audit preparation 
  • Sound knowledge of IFRS and Australian Accounting Standards 
Skills & Knowledge:
As the desired candidate you will have completed your CA/CPA qualification and have had similar experience in particularly around the tax requirements, ideally you may have had experience in the Construction and Building industry however will also consider someone from a chartered firm (Big 4 or mid tier) where you have had a lot of technical tax experience.  As this role will also have you liaising with multiple stakeholders your communication skills are paramount in obtaining the information that is required, you will also work in a team environment where everyone chips in and helps each other, it is collaborative and will suit someone who wants a career.  Offering post Covid restrictions 3 days in the office and 2 working from home.
