Are you looking to make your first move from Audit into a commercial finance role? This is an outstanding opportunity to join a well-established, high-performing business operating within the technology & media space in a Financial Accountant position that will provide broad exposure across financial reporting, process improvement and major finance transformation initiatives.

The Role
Reporting into an experienced Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in the month-end close process while gaining exposure to finance transformation projects as the business undertakes a significant Oracle migration and systems integration.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation and posting of month-end journals
- Reviewing and resolving aged reconciliation items
- Reviewing bank reconciliations
- Supporting month-end and year-end close activities
- Assisting with statutory reporting and external audit requirements
- Supporting finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining finance process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Contributing to a system migration, systems testing and finance transformation projects
We are looking to speak with ambitious Chartered Accountants who are ready to transition into their first commercial finance role.
Ideally you will have:
- CA/CPA qualified (or nearing completion)
- Experience within a Big 4 or reputable Mid-Tier Audit environment
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical capability
- A proactive mindset with a genuine interest in process improvement
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships across the business
- Full Australian working rights (no sponsorship available)
- Salary of $105,000 - $110,000 + Super
