Our client is looking for a talented and ambitious Accounts Officer to join their growing accounts team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role will be suited to an individual who can perform an all-around accounts payable and receivable function.
The Responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following duties:
- Management of Accounts Payable/Receivable functions
- Monthly general ledger account reconciliations/assisting with the month-end process
- Daily cash flow reporting
- Assistance with intercompany transactions
- Credit card reconciliations
- Assistance with effective cash flow management
- Recording income and expenditure from statements
- Assistance with maintaining the corporate ASIC register
- Tracking of share and other private investments and reporting
- Tracking of rental property and farms assets and reporting
- Preparation of Business Activity Statements;
- Maintenance of land tax and council rates
The successful applicant will have
- Demonstrated experience in SME Environment
- Demonstrated understanding of accounting fundamentals
- Exceptional organisation and time management skills
- Flexible and positive attitude
- Good work ethic and capable multi-tasker, with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrate an attitude for continuous improvement
- Intermediate MS Excel skills;
- Experience in Microsoft Nav would be highly beneficial
- 1+ years experience in a similar role
