Based in Melbourne's South East, our client are a global leader in their space - manufacturing and distribution. With operations in all states across Australia, our client is seeking a motivated & driven team player to join their Finance Team in a position of Accounts Payable Officer on a permanent full time basis.
About the role
Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will receive cross training for Accounts Receivable down the track (if you don't already posses this) and will work in a dynamic and successful team. Within the role, your main responsibilities will be, but not limited to the:
Accounts Payable
- Day to day processing of the accounts payable function including high volume invoicing (This can be up to 200 per day), payments, approvals, reconciliations, etc.
- Processing of invoices and credit card reconciliations (high volume)
- Processing payment of invoices
- Manage internal and external queries
- Review of credit application request
- Creating reports in Excel
- Completing month end within the required deadlines
To be successful in this role you as a candidate will bring to the role:
- Team player mindset
- Strong experience within Accounts Payable in a high volume environment
- background in manufacturing desired but not essential.
- Experience with a large ERP system
- have an enthusiastic and driven approach to work
- Keen attention to detail
- Able to work in an office 5 days a week
- Strong excel skills (vlookups and pivot tables)
