About The Company
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join a national, industry-leading company and manage the accounts payable function of the business. You will have 3 direct reports and be responsible for the end to end accounts payable process as well as well as assisting with driving change within the accounts payable function. The organisation is looking to implement a new ERP system within the coming year to help streamline processes and you will help lead this project. 

The business has a friendly team culture, and provide a lot of support. They are currently working 3 days from the office and 2 days from home and are flexible with start/finish times. 

The responsibilities
Reporting directly to the CFO, the role will include but not be limited to:
  • Managing a team of Accounts Payable Officers to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing and payment of supplier invoices and employee expense claims as well as maintenance of accurate records and reports
  • Leading a system implementation project
  • Drive continual process improvement 
  • Assist with month-end closing and cash flow forecasts
  • Reconciliation of bank and supplier reconciliation
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the Vendor Master Data performing timely maintenance work as required
Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have the following:
  • Strong proven Accounts Payable management experience
  • Experience leading and mentoring a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in a high-volume environment
  • Strong month-end and year-end reporting experience
  • A process improvement mindset and experience with process improvement and system improvement projects
