Position Description
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a well‑established, fast‑paced organisation within the retail and trade industry. This is a temporary role requiring an immediate start, with strong potential for longer‑term opportunities based on performance and business needs.
You will be joining a collaborative finance team and will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable functions across a high‑volume environment.
Job Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Accounts Payable Manager, your role will include but not be limited to:
- Timely and accurate processing of invoices
- Completing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payment runs
- Making foreign currency payments
- Statement reconciliations
- Handling supplier queries
- End of month reports and check ins
Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar Accounts Payable role, as well as the following attributes:
- High level time management skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- High level numeracy and reconciliation skills
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel and outlook
- Ability to thrive in a high volume and fast paced environment
