This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join an established business based in Western Sydney. The role will involve specialist accounts payable tasks within the non-merchandise team, including GL coding, processing invoices, payment execution, journaling and reconciliations.
The company is going through an exciting process improvement phase and you will have the opportunity to be part of this project.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation, allocation of costs to correct G/L accounts, and payment of weekly invoices.
- Reconciliation of bank and supplier reconciliations
- Handling the AP mailbox
- Cleaning up the AP function by chasing for outstanding cheques
- Coordinate the accounts payable system, including vendor details, record of payments and filing systems
- Matching off reconciled items and preparing journals
- Assisting with the rollout of the new IT system
- Prior experience within an Accounts Payable role or an Assistant Accountant role with some accounts payable tasks- open to very experienced, as well as more junior options
- High attention to detail
- Experience using a large ERP system is essential
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Non-merchandise related experience will be highly desirable, including experience with GL coding, journal entries and reconciliations.
