Due to ongoing business demands, they are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts/Trust Officer to join their Finance team on a temporary basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a professional and collaborative environment, supporting a busy finance function with a range of trust accounting responsibilities. You will play an integral role in the day-to-day management of trust and controlled money accounts, ensuring transactions are processed accurately, reconciliations are completed on time, and compliance with relevant trust accounting regulations is maintained.
Key responsibilities
- Handling reconciliation and investigating variances
- Set up and maintain new suppliers
- Processing accurate and timely invoices
- Handle queries from internal and external stakeholders
- Administrate National Trust accounts, ensuring accurate processing of trust receipts, payments, journals, bank reconciliations, PEXA verifications, bank signatories, and statutory deposits.
- Manage controlled money accounts, including account openings and closures, month-end reconciliations, and processing of receipts and payments
- Maintained compliance with trust accounting legislation, internal policies, and audit requirements through accurate and timely financial processing.
- Responded to finance-related enquiries and provided operational support to the National Trust and wider Finance teams.
