Our client is a leading manufacturing business with a strong presence across the mining, commercial, and residential sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent full-time basis.

The Role Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function while assisting with month-end and year-end processes. This position will suit someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working across a broad range of accounting responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
- Assist with general ledger analysis and investigate discrepancies where required
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist the wider finance team with ad-hoc accounting duties and reporting requirements
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to obtain relevant financial information
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and procedures
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience working as an Assistant Accountant or in a similar accounting support role
- Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- High attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
