Our client is looking for an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join their accounting team. The role and the business is suited to someone who is hard-working, has a positive attitude and has a few years experience in an Assistant Accountant role. The candidate must be studying their CA/CPA and have full working rights as a permanent resident or citizen.

The role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for a mix of transactional and financial accounting tasks.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Bank reconciliations
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Month-end and year-end financial reporting
- Month-end closing process
- Variance analysis
- Assist in maintaining banking, assets and credit card functions
- Other ad hoc tasks as required
- Excellent knowledge of financial accounting and accounting principles
- Tertiary qualification in Accounts / Finance / Business or Commerce
- Studying their CPA or CA
- Experience within an Assistant Accountant role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
