This role is focused on growing project‑based sales by developing strong relationships with hydraulic consultants, specifiers, plumbers, builders, and key channel partners across Victoria and South Australia.

You will play a critical role in identifying new project opportunities, managing a robust sales pipeline, and positioning high‑quality technical solutions into commercial and residential developments. From early‑stage engagement through to proposal development and close, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to customers while working closely with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and outstanding service.

This role suits a self‑motivated hunter who enjoys autonomy, thrives on relationship‑led sales, and takes pride in delivering solutions that genuinely add value for customers.

Duties
  • Develop and grow project‑based sales through engagement with hydraulic consultants, specifiers, plumbers, builders, and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities across defined territories and project segments.
  • Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with customers, acting as their primary point of contact.
  • Prepare and present tailored proposals, presentations, and product solutions aligned to customer requirements.
  • Manage all sales activity through CRM, including opportunities, quotations, account plans, and follow‑up actions.
  • Utilise market intelligence tools to identify upcoming projects and engage relevant decision‑makers early.
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasting and pipeline reporting, including likelihood, value, and close dates.
  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer feedback to support broader sales and market strategy.
  • Work collaboratively with customer service, operations, engineering, quality, and warehouse teams to ensure optimal outcomes for customers.
  • Travel regionally and interstate as required to maintain and grow key account relationships.
  • Uphold high standards of safety, compliance, professionalism, and customer service at all times.
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum three years’ experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally within plumbing, gas, construction, or project‑based environments.
  • Proven ability to identify and convert new business opportunities through proactive, consultative selling.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Confident negotiator with the ability to gain commitment and close opportunities effectively.
  • Highly organised, self‑motivated, and comfortable working autonomously in a remote or field‑based role.
  • Strong written, verbal, and numerical communication skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage pipelines, reporting, and account planning.
  • Willingness to travel regularly; current driver’s licence required.
  • A solutions‑focused mindset with a “can‑do” attitude and strong sense of ownership and accountability.
