Job title : BDM (WA)
Location : Perth
Job type : Permanent or Full Time
Job reference : 1721451
About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to join a leading organisation operating at the intersection of property development, digital infrastructure and technology‑enabled communities.

This role is focused on winning new business with residential and mixed‑use property developers, influencing infrastructure decisions early in the development lifecycle and securing long‑term partnership agreements. Acting as the front end of the business, you will engage developers, consultants and project stakeholders from planning through to construction, positioning future‑ready connectivity and digital infrastructure solutions.

With a strong emphasis on new business generation, this role suits a true hunter - someone who thrives on opening doors, building relationships from scratch, and maintaining momentum through long and complex sales cycles. If you enjoy strategic selling, influencing outcomes early, and creating pipeline through consistent effort and presence, this role offers autonomy, challenge and long‑term impact.

Duties
  • Identify, target and secure new residential and mixed‑use development opportunities within an assigned territory.
  • Proactively engage property developers at early planning and feasibility stages to influence infrastructure decisions.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of future projects through outbound activity, networking and market intelligence.
  • Position fibre and digital infrastructure solutions as value‑adding assets that enhance development marketability and long‑term performance.
  • Manage complex sales cycles from initial engagement through commercial agreement and internal handover.
  • Develop trusted relationships with developers, project managers, consultants and key decision‑makers.
  • Navigate commercial discussions including pricing, scope, agreements and long‑term value propositions.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records including pipeline, project stages, activity reporting and forecasts.
  • Work closely with internal delivery, technical and commercial teams to ensure solutions align with project requirements.
  • Represent the business at industry events, site meetings and stakeholder forums as required.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in new business development or BDM roles within a B2B environment.
  • Experience selling into property developers, construction, infrastructure, utilities or complex project‑based environments will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated hunter mindset with a track record of creating opportunities through proactive outreach and persistence.
  • Comfortable managing long sales cycles with delayed revenue and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to articulate long‑term value rather than competing on price alone.
  • Confident communicator capable of engaging senior decision‑makers and navigating complex conversations.
  • Resilient, self‑motivated and disciplined, with a strong work ethic and high activity levels.
  • Organised and structured, with experience using CRM systems to manage pipeline and forecasting.
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the territory as required.
About the Company

This organisation is a national provider of fibre and digital infrastructure solutions, partnering with property developers to deliver future‑ready connectivity for new residential and mixed‑use communities.

Operating at the early stages of the development lifecycle, the business is recognised for its technical expertise, commercial capability and long‑term partnership approach. With a strong growth agenda and a focus on quality delivery, it offers a platform where high‑performing business development professionals can build meaningful, long‑term results.
