The Role

Joining a large and collaborative payroll function, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and compliant processing of payroll across a diverse workforce. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders and contribute to maintaining high payroll service standards throughout the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
  • End-to-end processing of payroll for a large, multi-site employee population.
  • Managing employee onboarding, terminations, and payroll-related changes.
  • Interpreting and applying modern awards and enterprise agreements across various employee groups.
  • Processing payroll adjustments, leave entitlements, and reconciliations.
  • Investigating and resolving payroll queries and discrepancies.
  • Maintaining accurate employee and payroll records in line with compliance requirements.
  • Assisting with payroll reporting, audits, and statutory obligations.
  • Contributing to payroll system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across HR, Finance, and Operations.


About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • A minimum of 3 years' end-to-end payroll experience within a high-volume environment.
  • Previous experience working in a multi-site organisation (highly regarded).
  • Strong understanding and practical experience interpreting Awards and/or Enterprise Agreements.
  • Experience using complex payroll systems and navigating large payroll environments.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach with a strong commitment to customer service.
