Sharp & Carter is partnering with a Queensland Government agency undertaking a significant business transformation program that supports one of the state's largest infrastructure portfolios.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to contribute to a major Portfolio Management Improvement initiative focused on strengthening governance, planning, investment prioritisation, project lifecycle management and organisational capability across a complex operating environment. 

The Opportunity As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with program leaders, project teams and senior stakeholders to analyse current-state operations, facilitate workshops, map business processes and support the development of enterprise-wide frameworks and governance practices. 

This role will suit an individual who enjoys driving organisational improvement, navigating complex stakeholder environments and delivering structured business analysis outcomes that have long-term impact.
Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews and discovery activities.
  • Elicit, analyse and document business requirements.
  • Develop business process maps and BPMN documentation.
  • Produce business analysis artefacts including frameworks, guidance material and decision-support tools.
  • Support the management of risks, issues, dependencies and change impacts.
  • Collaborate across multiple project streams to drive successful delivery outcomes. 
About You To be successful, you will bring:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Business Analysis roles.
  • Strong experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Practical experience with BPMN process modelling.
  • Experience working across Agile, Waterfall and Scrum environments.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to develop governance and project documentation.
  • Previous Queensland Government, infrastructure, asset management or capital works experience will be highly regarded. 
Desirable Qualifications
  • IIBA, PMI-PBA or Agile BA certification.
  • PRINCE2 or other recognised project management certification.
