Inner South Sydney | 12 Month FTC
A globally recognised leader in intelligent power management is looking for a Buyer & Production Planner to join their ANZ supply chain team based in Inner South Sydney. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role where purchasing, production scheduling, and inventory management come together, with real variety and cross-functional exposure across a complex, multi-site supply chain.
The Role
You'll be responsible for deploying and continuously improving purchasing and scheduling processes while acting as an integral part of the SIOP cycle. Managing both internal and external production capacity, you'll liaise with suppliers, integration partners, contractors, and 3PLs to keep product flowing smoothly from end to end, all while hitting OTD, DOH, and cost-out targets.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing SAP purchase orders across the full lifecycle including reviews, QBRs, and supplier alignment
- Driving demand, supply, and inventory plans to support customer requirements
- Managing the Master Production Schedule, MRP, and capacity planning across in-house and subcontract locations
- Maintaining inventory balance across distribution centres and consignment locations
- Partnering with Sales, Operations, Product, Aftersales, and Warehouse teams to influence outcomes
- Monitoring KPIs including OTD, DOH, SLOB, E&O, and cost-out
- Applying quality control methods including ISO, EQMS, and ELSS
- Maintaining ERP data integrity and participating in annual physical inventory
- 5+ years in a supply chain, planning, or procurement role
- SAP experience is essential - particularly the Production Module and subcontracting
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of forecasting, stocking concepts, MRP, and inventory management models
- APICS, CPM, or equivalent certification highly regarded
- Strong communicator with business acumen and a continuous improvement mindset
