We are partnering with a global organisation to identify a highly experienced Chief Underwriter / Senior Claims Underwriter to support at a strategic level on an initial 3-month contract.

This role is suited to someone who can step beyond day-to-day processing and operate as a senior subject matter expert, contributing to governance, best practice, and executive-level decision making.

About the role:

• Prepare and deliver Board packs and executive reporting
• Provide expert advice across Life Insurance (TPD, IP, CI)
• Support strategic initiatives and business improvement
• Advise on industry best practice and governance frameworks
• Contribute to complex decision-making and risk assessment

About you:

• Deep Life Insurance knowledge (TPD, IP, CI)
• Ability to operate at a strategic level
• Board exposure, including preparation and communication
• Strong understanding of industry best practice & governance

This would suit someone operating as a:

• Top-end Senior Underwriter
• Head of Underwriting / Chief Underwriter
• Senior Claims / Underwriting SME

Details:

• 3-month contract (potential to extend)
• Sydney or Melbourne CBD (hybrid)
• $1,000 – $1,400 per day + Super (negotiable)
