About the role
  
A fantastic opportunity to work for a leading Technology business in a long-term contract. This organisation is seeking a commercially astute finance professional to work closely with Sales. This is a key role within the business, where you will partner with operations, with a focus across revenue, costs, reporting and projects.
  
The responsibilities
  
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for providing commercial acumen and supporting the Commercial Manager and the Sales team. Your main duties will include:  
  • Provide decision support to Sales Directors nationally.
  • Assist with preparation of budgets, monthly management reports and annual business plans
  • Review monthly P&L reports for divisional sales
  • Work closely with the Commercial and Sales teams to identify and analyse areas of improvement, and drive improvements in the business.
  • Providing relevant reporting, data insights and analytics and advice
  • Developing real partnerships with stakeholders,
  • Support the Commercial Manager to achieve key objectives
  • Working closely with Management Accounting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Build and maintain key relationships with stakeholders to understand and work collaboratively to resolve issues
  • Responsible for building and maintaining financial models, analysis and reporting with key stakeholders in the sales team
  • Develop a deep understanding of your business’s revenue and cost drivers, and its strategic goals
  • Provide analysis of potential growth opportunities and provide advice to sales directors
  • Support the Commercial Manager by helping to develop robust and accurate rolling forecasts and budgets, using reliable data sources
  • Analyse business processes to identify opportunities for greater efficiency and innovation.
  • Strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented approach
  • Analyse actual results against budget and forecast and prepare written commentaries as required for month end reporting to local Senior Management team, and Group
  • Support Sales with Revenue and KPI metric reports
  • Other ad hoc tasks and analysis as required.
  
The successful applicant 
CA/CPA qualified you will be a commercially astute business analyst who has demonstrated success within a similar role. You will possess a proven track record of business partnering with senior executives and possess the ability to effectively communicate financial data to operations. Advanced MS Excel skills are essential with preferable systems experience with Tableau and or Power BI.
