An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded Commercial Analyst to join a high-performing finance team and partner closely with operational leaders across the business.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in providing insights that drive profitability, operational efficiency and business performance. This is a highly visible position that will suit someone who enjoys working closely with stakeholders, analysing large data sets and translating numbers into meaningful business recommendations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing monthly management reports, forecasts and performance dashboards
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and annual planning processes
- Conducting variance analysis and providing actionable insights to management
- Partnering with operations and sales teams to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Analysing manufacturing costs, labour efficiency, inventory movements and margins
- Supporting pricing reviews and customer profitability analysis
- Assisting with business cases, capital expenditure evaluations and investment decisions
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives and reporting enhancements
- Developing and maintaining financial models to support strategic decision-making
- Degree qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
- CA/CPA qualification (or working towards)
- 4–6 years' experience in commercial finance or business partnering roles
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, distribution, logistics or a product-based environment highly regarded
- Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modelling capability
- Experience working with ERP systems and business intelligence tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence non-financial stakeholders
- A proactive and commercially focused approach to decision-making
