About the Company and Role
Our client is a leading ASX-listed organisation with a dominant national presence in the retail and consumer sector. Known for its scale, innovation, and customer-first approach, the business offers a high-performing, collaborative environment with strong exposure to senior stakeholders and commercial decision-making. There is currently an opportunity for a driven Commercial Finance Analyst to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Supporting key buying and merchandising portfolios, this role plays a critical part in driving financial performance through insightful analysis, forecasting, and strategic partnering.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial performance analysis, providing clear insights into key drivers
• Partner closely with Category and Commercial teams to support decision-making and performance optimisation
• Lead forecasting processes including weekly outlooks, monthly forecasts, and annual planning cycles
• Provide analysis on pricing, promotions, and category performance to drive margin and sales outcomes
• Identify risks and opportunities, particularly across promotional investment and seasonal events
• Support strategic initiatives and projects across the commercial function

  
About You

• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in commercial finance or FP&A
• Strong business partnering capability, ideally within FMCG, retail, or a fast-paced environment
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Experience working with large, complex datasets and financial systems (e.g. SAP, Excel)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
• Experience supporting sales, pricing, or category teams is highly regarded
