The Role

Reporting to the General Manager Commercial, this role is responsible for providing strategic, commercial and financial leadership to the business in respect of financial planning and analysis activities and the support of operational decision making. The role will include but not be limited to: 
  • Drive the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting process
  • Provide insightful analysis and advice to identify areas of opportunity for revenue growth, cost containment and process improvement.
  • Determine the underlying profitability of the different categories of the business (i.e. Gaming, Hotel, F&B, etc.) through activity based costing and other evaluation methods and provide recommendations to drive business improvements
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support decision making
  • Prepare presentations including business cases, summarising financial performance / financial analysis, etc.
  • Undertake research and analysis to identify/explain market trends, industry dynamics, customer trends, impact of competitors and new market opportunities
  • Identify key drivers impacting financial performance
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Support capital expenditure business cases and monitoring

The Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will identify business improvement opportunities, and in partnership with the General Manager develop strategies for growth and innovation. You will ideally be: 
  • CA / CPA qualified
  • Minimum 10+ years’ post qualified experience in accounting/finance, including leadership experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in a decision making capacity in a business environment
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • A sound understanding of finance and general business practices
