  • Monitor budgets, commitments, actual costs and forecasts
  • Analyse project cost performance and identify trends, risks and variances
  • Produce cost reports, dashboards and project performance updates
  • Partner with Project Managers to support planning, forecasting and cost optimisation initiatives
  • Monitor project contingencies and assess cost impacts arising from scope changes
  • Track commitments, purchase orders and contractor expenditure against approved budgets
  • Maintain project cost breakdown structures and project control systems
  • Support project reviews, governance forums and cost assurance activities
A bit about you:
  • Experience as a Cost Controller, Cost Engineer or Project Controls Engineer
  • Demonstrated experience supporting major capital projects within infrastructure, resources, mining, energy, engineering or construction environments (preferred)
  • Strong forecasting and cost modelling capabilities
  • Experience managing project budgets, commitments, contingencies and cost tracking processes
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to communicate complex cost information to operational stakeholders
  • Proactive approach with a strong attention to detail
Why Join?
  • Work on high-profile projects with significant capital investment

  • Gain exposure to best-practice project controls methodologies
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and project delivery exposure
  • CBD location with flexibility available following successful onboarding
  • Long-term opportunity to build a career in project controls and project delivery
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to establish themselves in the project controls profession and become a trusted partner to project delivery teams responsible for major capital investments.
