This is a high-impact role combining technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, and team mentorship, where your ability to translate complex data concepts into clear business outcomes will be critical.
You'll lead a team of 7 engineers while shaping scalable data solutions across data warehousing, data lakes, and reporting platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of data engineering solutions across data warehouse and data lake environments
- Translate technical data concepts into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders
- Partner with senior stakeholders to define requirements and deliver data-driven outcomes
- Mentor and support a team of 7 data engineers to uplift capability and delivery standards
- Drive best practice across data pipelines, modelling, and cloud platform architecture
- Optimise performance, scalability, and security of the data platform (Azure environment)
- Implement automation and continuous improvement initiatives across the data ecosystem
- Proven experience as a Data Engineering Lead / Senior Data Engineer
- Strong expertise in data warehousing, data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language
- Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
- Strong focus on delivery, quality, and continuous improvement
