About the Role

Oh No, we need to thread carefully there and do the right thing for customers. We need to make sure that as customers we protect ourselves and that's where you come in. Yes you! This role is simple in nature but complex in compliance, what we can and can't do from an electronic email/SMS or direct marketing point of view. Simply put, your ultimate aim is ensure compliance regarding the Spam Act are adhered to.

The Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager (who is a top human being) and working closely with the legal team, digital team and marketing communications team, you will work collaboratively with the multiple business units to ensure best practice and email/SMS compliance under the Spam Act. It's a really chunky role where you will embed ongoing governance, education and continuous improvement. Other duties include:
  • Assist creating recommendations and business requirements, to be passed onto execution teams
  • Ensure governance and compliance standards are maintained to a high level across all marketing operations
  • Support alignment with new capability, system developments, and relevant customer touch points, by inserting into scoping/design phases to ensure optimal compliance and commercial outcomes
  • Key stakeholder management in a Weekly Governance  meeting (developments impacting databases, preference management, or email/SMS unsubscribes facilities)

To be successful you will have:
  • A proven track record in a similar position or a background across compliance/regulation or marketing operations, CRM/Loyalty,
    compliance, and database management
  • Strong experience of working with Legal teams, Solutions Architects and Database/IT Support teams
  • A positive, pro-active, collaborative, curious and hungry mindset to come in, hit the ground running and make things happen
