Reporting directly to the CEO, your role will be a broad one requiring you to be '‘hands-on'’ and in the detail, but also a strong business partner to the leadership team and board. You will be principally responsible for leading the accounting function and for ensuring effective controls and accurate reporting to support business strategy.
Other duties:
- Ensuring financial targets and business performance is well considered and communicated
- Supporting growth via financial and commercial advice
- Advising on strategic and business planning (including acquisitions)
- Financial control, including budgeting, accounting, forecasting and reporting to the board, leadership team and broader team
- Overseeing delivery of accounting and payroll services
- Managing finance and tax statutory and regulatory compliance including audits
- Developing and improving financial policies, procedures, processes and systems
You are an experienced Financial Controller / Finance Director or CFO with an impressive track record and reputation across a professional services environment. You have highly developed technical accounting skills and commercial acumen, along with proven experience managing complex and high-level stakeholder relationships. You are a big picture leader who can reason at a conceptual level and drive change, while still maintaining a strong attention to detail and a hands-on approach.
You are a natural leader with a high degree of integrity, you are comfortable to challenge the status quo and have the confidence and credibility to engage effectively and build relationships with all levels of an organisation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- CA or CPA qualified
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or economics
- Previous experience in professional services (Consultancy, Law firm, accounting firm etc.)
