Location: Regional Victoria - relocation support available.
Reporting to the Reliability Manager, this role will support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of a modern manufacturing facility.
The position will suit someone who enjoys hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and working within evolving manufacturing environments where adaptability and problem-solving are highly valued.
This is a practical, team-oriented role requiring strong mechanical capability, a proactive mindset, and the ability to respond effectively to breakdowns and operational challenges as the site continues to scale production.
Key responsibilities
- Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance across production and processing equipment.
- Conduct fault finding and troubleshooting activities to minimise downtime.
- Support commissioning and ramp-up activities across new equipment and systems.
- Maintain conveyors, motors, bearings, drive systems, and associated plant equipment.
- Work collaboratively with operations, engineering, and reliability teams.
- Assist with shutdown activities, equipment improvements, and reliability initiatives.
- Support safe work practices and contribute to a strong site safety culture.
- Participate in an on-call maintenance roster as required.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation within CMMS systems.
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting.
- Dual trade (Electrical) capability highly regarded.
- Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, or automated industrial environments.
- Strong fault-finding and breakdown response capability.
- Experience working with conveyors, bearings, motors, pneumatics, and automated equipment.
- Exposure to PLCs, SCADA systems, and integrated manufacturing environments advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively within fast-paced and evolving operational environments.
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach.
