Our client is a market leading FMCG business whose products are found in most households across Australia. They are seeking a strong Finance Analyst to partner across various commercial teams to support GMs, Directors and the wider finance team with a focus on profit improvement, cost optimisation & driving business growth.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the main responsibility of this role will be to provide reporting and forecasting cycles for Supply Chain and will business partner with leaders by providing insights into costs, with a focus on continuous improvement. Other duties include (but are not limited to):
  • Manage and lead the month-end process and the preparation of the monthly performance pack.
  • Support the coordination and delivery of the budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy, and producing valuable insight materials for stakeholders.
  • Track, analyse and report on freight and warehouse costs, variances against budget and forecasts.
  • Providing supply chain costing for new products and channels.
  • Partnering with the National Planning team to manage inventory and waste.
  • Building financial models and sharing next level insights to understand the impact business opportunities and support business critical projects.
  • Work collaboratively with the warehouse managers to identify, execute and deliver continuous improvement initiatives to optimise cost and operations.
  • Supporting the warehouse teams with better reporting, commercial analysis, automation and assisting with the management of hotspots.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • CA/CPA Qualified or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working in FMCG / retail or manufacturing environment (desired) 
  • Strong communication / analytical skills
  • Ability to business partner with a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to navigate financial systems (Pronto and Power BI) including advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint (including advanced pivots and formulas) 
  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce (Finance/Accounting, Administration or similar) required (must be recognised in Australia)
  • At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within FMCG or similar industry.
