An exciting opportunity exists for a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join a leading Australian retail organisation on a 6-month contract.
 
Working within a high-performing commercial finance team, you'll partner with key corporate functions, providing financial insights that support strategic decision-making across IT, Property and other enabling functions.

About the Role Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, you'll work closely with senior business leaders to provide commercial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and financial decision support across corporate functions.
Key responsibilities include:

• Business partnering with IT, Property and Support Office stakeholders
• Preparing annual budgets, rolling forecasts and financial plans
• Delivering meaningful commercial analysis and actionable insights
• Identifying financial risks and opportunities while helping develop improvement initiatives
• Supporting investment decisions through robust financial modelling and business cases
• Preparing regular management reporting and ad hoc analysis for senior leadership
• Analysing large and complex data sets to support operational and strategic decisions
• Working collaboratively to drive continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting

About You You are naturally curious, commercially minded and enjoy building strong relationships across the business. You have the confidence to challenge thinking, influence stakeholders and simplify complex financial information into practical business insights.

You'll ideally bring:

• CA or CPA qualification
• At least 5 years' experience in commercial finance or finance business partnering
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling capability
• Advanced Excel skills, with exposure to Power BI highly regarded
• Experience partnering with non-finance stakeholders
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment

Retail or large corporate experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
