The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting and driving insights to support business performance. You’ll lead a small team while working closely with senior management on both operational and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of monthly reporting packs and internal management reports
- Analyse financial results and investigate key variances
- Review and manage general ledger activity across the finance team
- Support half-year and year-end reporting, including statutory requirements
- Oversee tax workbooks and compliance processes
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, systems, and financial processes
- Partner with internal and external auditors, managing deliverables and timelines
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Assist with compliance reporting (including regulatory and corporate requirements)
- Contribute to M&A activity, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration
- Support business decision-making through financial modelling, business cases, and contract analysis
- CA / CPA qualified with a relevant tertiary accounting degree
- Background in Big 4 / mid-tier or strong chartered experience, ideally with audit exposure
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS / AASB standards
- Experience in group reporting, financial control, or similar environments
- Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capability
- Systems experience (e.g. D365, Workday Adaptive) advantageous but not essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
