About the role 
An exciting, business-critical role with a global, industry-leading Insurance organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their Finance team. This organisation has been continuously recognised as an "Employer of Choice." This role is a permanent, full-time opportunity with hybrid/flexible working arrangements available (3-4 days work-from-home available!).

The responsibilities
Reporting directly into the Senior Finance Manager; you will be responsible for:
  • Act as the strategic finance business partner to various business units providing insights and financial advice to influence decision-making.
  • Build trusted relationships with a multitude of stakeholders; supporting decision-making with analysis on financial metrics, non-financial metrics and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide regular performance analysis and present financial results and insights to senior management; including commentary and recommendations to inform and influence strategic decision making.
  • Support Board and Committee reporting on Group result including competitor analysis; providing reports to external parties such as foreign shareholders, credit rating agencies, debt holders and other ad-hoc reporting as required.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process including Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow; ensuring alignment with group objectives and timelines. This includes robustly challenging the financial data provided by partners, and preparation of commentary to explain the budget and forecast.
  • Legal entity management reporting including transfer pricing requirements in relation to foreign branches and subsidiaries, reconciliation of Management and Statutory result.
  • Manage and enhance finance budgeting systems; identifying process improvement opportunities and contribute to ongoing system/reporting enhancements, including enhancing our use of PowerBI for stakeholder self-serve of key financial reports.
  • Adhoc analysis and financial modelling to support various business critical projects, including valuation of strategic asset holdings.
  • Drive wider organisational process improvement efforts, automation and striving towards implementation of "best-in-class" practices
The successful applicant will have     
Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will have a strong attention to detail, enjoy team collaboration and appreciate the importance of taking a "hands-on" approach to your work. Furthermore, proven experience working within the Insurance sector will be considered advantageous (but is not a prerequisite).
