Based in the South West, this is an excellent opportunity to step into a broad, hands-on leadership role where you'll take ownership of the Australian finance function while partnering closely with local operations and the global finance team.
The Role
You'll be responsible for leading the Australian finance function and providing commercial and operational support across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end month-end close, financial and management reporting
- Balance sheet reconciliations, journals and financial control
- Audit coordination and statutory compliance
- Inventory accounting, stock controls and fixed asset management
- Cash flow management and forecasting
- Strengthening internal controls and improving finance processes
- Supporting ongoing ERP optimisation and reporting enhancements
- Partnering closely with sales, warehouse and operational stakeholders
- Leading and mentoring a small local finance team
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Financial Accountant
- Strong financial reporting, audit and statutory compliance experience
- Solid exposure to inventory accounting and fixed assets
- Experience working within wholesale, distribution, manufacturing, FMCG or supply chain environments
- A continuous improvement mindset with experience strengthening controls and processes
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills
- The ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with large ERP's such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, JD Edwards and Power BI will be highly regarded but is not essential.
