An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and hands-on Finance Manager to join a well-respected Not-for-Profit organisation based on the Central Coast. This is a broad role that will oversee the full finance function, providing financial leadership, insight and support to ensure the ongoing sustainability of the organisation. Working closely with the CEO and leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering accurate reporting, managing day-to-day finance operations, and driving process improvements to support growth and service delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of financial management including budgeting, forecasting and month end reporting
- Prepare and present financial results, analysis and insights to management and the Board
- Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Banking functions
- Lead and mentor a small finance team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations
- Coordinate annual audit and prepare year-end financial statements
- Monitor cash flow and manage funding acquittals and grant reporting
- Partner with operational leaders to provide financial advice and support informed decision making
- Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls and reporting accuracy
- Ad hoc financial analysis and participation in organisational projects as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards qualification
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar Finance Manager or senior accounting role
- Previous experience within the Not-for-Profit or community sector highly regarded
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero or SAP)
- Hands-on and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
