Reporting to the Head of Finance and leading a small team, the Finance Manager will play a key role in strengthening financial governance while supporting senior stakeholders with timely, high‑quality financial insight.
The Role
This position blends technical accounting leadership with commercial support and process improvement. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation of monthly management reporting packs and analysis of material variances
- Oversight and review of the general ledger and balance sheet integrity
- Preparation and review of half‑year and year‑end statutory reporting
- Coordination of external audits and liaison with corporate stakeholders
- Review of tax workpapers and support of group tax requirements
- Maintaining and enhancing internal controls, systems and finance procedures
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling activities
- Assisting with business acquisitions, due diligence and post‑acquisition integration
- Providing financial support on business cases, contracts and ad‑hoc initiatives
- Leading and reviewing work produced by the finance team
You will be a technically strong and commercially minded finance professional who is comfortable operating in a hands‑on environment. You will likely bring:
- Immediately Available or 1-2 Week notice period
- Comfortable working 5 days onsite
- CPA or CA membership
- Strong experience in management reporting, statutory reporting and financial control
- Solid knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards
- A collaborative yet autonomous working style, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience gained in a chartered or audit environment is well regarded but not essential.
