An exciting newly-created, business-critical role with a industry-leading organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their Finance team. This is a high‑impact Finance role that will contribute directly to the company’s strong performance.
Taking a hands-on approach; you will play a key project management and financial analysis role in supporting the integration of a newly-acquired entity; including systems, processes and Finance teams. Initially, this role will commence as a 12 month fixed-term contract role however has the genuine view-to-permanent given the positive growth trajectory of the business and the upcoming pipeline of projects. This organisation has a flexible hybrid approach to working with 3 days required in the office per week (Tuesday-Thursday).
The Responsibilities
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
- Drive the integration of a newly acquired entity; including financial analysis and project support to embed them seamlessly into the Group's existing processes and reporting framework
- Support the development of integration roadmaps; establishing timelines and tracking milestones to smoothly transition newly acquired entities into this organisations' financial ecosystem
- Evaluate the finance processes, internal controls, and ERP systems of acquired businesses; supporting the design and execution of plans to align them with the Group's existing policies and reporting standards
- Serve as the primary bridge/conduit between the Group Finance team and the newly acquired Finance staff; managing change effectively and fostering collaboration to ensure a smooth transition and high-user adoption of new processes and technologies
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams; including IT, Finance and other business units; to ensure successful project outcomes
- Finance business partner with IT to ensure the effective operation and ongoing maintenance of the Group Finance system as it relates to the newly acquired entity; ensuring new systems are properly integrated and data integrity is maintained
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives
- Assist in ad-hoc projects as directed by the wider Finance team
Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross-functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will have proven experience in the successful execution of Finance Transformation / Finance Projects and enjoy being "hands-on" with the work.
