About the Company and Role
We are currently partnering a well-established consumer goods organisation to recruit a hands-on Financial Accountant on a 12-month maternity leave contract. Reporting to supportive and tenured leadership, this role will see you take ownership of month-end close, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting, operating in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and strong systems.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Month-end close including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Intercompany accounting across multiple entities (accruals, eliminations, confirmations)
  • Preparation of P&L and Balance Sheet for group reporting (OneStream)
  • Management of GR/IR clearing and related SAP processes
  • Supporting budget and forecast cycles (data uploads and management)
  • Delivering regular reporting and analysis (Excel-based)
  • Driving process improvements and strengthening controls
  
About You
You will bring:
  • 5–7 years’ experience in a financial accounting or reporting role
  • Strong SAP experience (essential)
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (data manipulation, reporting, formulas)
  • Solid experience with month-end close and intercompany accounting
  • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your area
  • Strong communication skills – comfortable picking up the phone and engaging stakeholders
Nice to have:
  • A mindset geared toward continuous improvement and challenging processes
  • CPA/CA qualification (or working towards, but not a non-negotiable)
  • Exposure to consolidation tools (e.g. OneStream)
  • Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or product-based environments
