Our client is a high performing business with a range of subsidiaries across multiple industries. This role will hold a key focus within two rapidly growing and expanding subsidiaries of the business, managing a range of facilities nationally. 
 
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role involves being hands-on with your responsibilities including, but not limited to: 

- Manage and maintain the General Ledger to ensure proper financial transactions in line with Australian Accounting Standards (AAS).
- Complete month-end close, including preparation and posting of journals and corporate allocations and recharges, reconciliations, trial balance,  statutory and regulatory reporting and filings
- Maintaining fixed asset records
- Calculate depreciation, impairment and other fixed asset adjustments
- Assist in preparing documentation for external audits, ensuring compliance with requirements.
- Implement strong internal controls and identify areas for process improvement in accounting systems and reporting.
- Provide analysis of financial performance, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and offer variance explanations.
 
To be successful in your application, you will be CA or CPA qualified (or currently completing), either moving from a chartered firm or 3 - 5 years industry experience. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross-functionally within the business will be crucial to your success.
