About the Company and Role
We are partnering with a leading heavy manufacturing organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a fast-paced, multi-entity environment and make an immediate impact. You’ll join a collaborative, high-performing team and play a key role in group reporting, tax compliance, and financial analysis.This is a hands-on, group-level role suited to someone who can hit the ground running and confidently operate across multiple entities.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of monthly financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Managing tax compliance (GST, BAS, FBT, payroll tax)
  • Intercompany accounting including reconciliations and settlements
  • Supporting group audit processes
  • Performing variance analysis and assisting with budgeting and forecasting cycles
  
About You
  • Proactive and detail-oriented Financial Accountant who thrives in complex environments and can quickly adapt to new systems and processes.
  • 4–6+ years’ experience in financial accounting
  • Experience in a complex multi-entity or group environment, with a strong exposure to dealing with multiple revenue streams, intercompany transactions and reconciliations
  • Solid understanding of tax (GST, BAS, FBT)
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills (formulas etc.)
  • Strong systems capability – able to navigate multiple ERPs confidently
  • CPA/CA (completed or working towards) preferred
  • Background in construction or project/WIP environments ideal
