You’ll join a collaborative finance team in a role that blends technical accounting with stakeholder engagement and process improvement.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity while supporting business decision-making across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end month-end processes including journals, accruals, prepayments and cost allocations
- Balance sheet reconciliations and review of P&L accuracy
- Preparation of monthly reporting packs with analysis and commentary
- Partnering with operational leaders to review performance and provide financial insights
- Fixed asset accounting and lease reconciliations
- Supporting statutory requirements including BAS, FBT and year-end reporting
- Assisting with audit processes and liaising with external auditors
- Contributing to budgeting, forecasting and continuous improvement initiatives
- Providing guidance and support to junior finance staff
About You
You’re a proactive and commercially aware accountant who enjoys working closely with the business, not just sitting behind the numbers.
You will bring:
- CA/CPA qualification (or near completion)
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
- Experience working in a mid-sized or complex organisation
- Strong ERP systems exposure
- Confident communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
- A hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
- Ability to challenge, question and improve processes
