The Role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this Financial Accountant position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations and monthly reporting across the group. This role will suit someone who enjoys working autonomously, thrives in a deadline-driven environment, and wants exposure to end-to-end finance within a dynamic operational business.
Responsibilities
your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist with day-to-day financial operations and banking queries
- Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes
- Assisting with the budgeting and forecasting
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ad hoc financial reports
- Identify and implement improvements to financial procedures
- Manage the Fixed Asset Register
- Assist with the preparation and lodgement of monthly tax compliance
- Provide backup support for the payroll function
- CA/CPA qualified (or working towards)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience
- Excellent attention to detail, proactive, solutions-focused and eager to grow and learn.
- Open to both industry experience or ideal for someone looking to make their 1st move out of business services
- Your interpersonal and communication skills are exceptional, consistently displaying a willingness to provide ongoing support to all key stakeholders.
- You will have demonstrated strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
