This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and growing retail business as an experienced and driven finance professional. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for a broad range of financial and commercial activities, including but not limited to:
- Prepare monthly financial reports, journals, accruals, reconciliations and month-end accounting activities across a diverse portfolio of investment and family office entities.
- Support the preparation of management reporting, financial analysis and variance reporting to provide meaningful business insights.
- Perform bank, investment and balance sheet reconciliations while supporting cash flow monitoring and forecasting.
- Assist with statutory reporting, year-end financial statement preparation and external audit requirements.
- Support tax compliance obligations, including BAS, FBT and income tax reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to provide financial information, ad hoc analysis and support key business initiatives.
- Assist in identifying areas of process and efficiency improvement within the Finance team.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of transactions.
You will be a CA or CPA qualified accountant, or studying towards qualification, with ideally 3-5 years’ industry experience or seeking your first move out of Big 4 or Mid-Tier. Your interpersonal and communication skills are first class, allowing you to gain the confidence of and develop strong professional relationships with those above and below you.
