We are seeking an experienced, technical Financial Accountant to join a high-performing Finance team supporting the Aged Care and Support at Home services sector. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, funding reconciliations, and providing meaningful financial insights to operational leaders.

As the Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Delivering accurate and timely month-end accounting processes, including journals, accruals, reconciliations and reporting
• Assisting in preparing monthly management reports, variance analysis and financial commentary for operational and executive stakeholders
• Managing Quarterly Financial Returns and other regulatory reporting 
• Supporting funding reporting, care minutes reporting and compliance activities
• Supporting external audits and year-end financial reporting processes
• Partnering closely with operational leaders across multiple departments
• Contributing to financial systems optimisation, process improvement initiatives and internal controls 
• Involvement in ERP optimisations/integrations projects 

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline 
• CPA or CA qualifications (or nearing completion) 
• Strong financial and management accounting experience, including month-end reporting and reconciliations
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong systems capability
• Experience working with ERP systems, ideally TechnologyOne 
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• The ability to analyse data and translate insights into meaningful business outcomes
• Experience within Aged Care, Community Care or the Not-for-Profit sector (highly regarded)
