Reporting to the Finance Manager, responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Manage grant funding, compliance, reconciliations and financial acquittals.
- Maintain the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, depreciation and WIP.
- Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Complete month-end processes, including journals, accruals and reporting.
- Prepare management reports, financial statements and variance analysis.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS and assist with FBT and other statutory reporting.
- Calculate and manage annual WorkCover remuneration reporting.
- Prepare and maintain weekly cash flow forecasts and cash reconciliations.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support finance projects, system changes and team coverage as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business or Finance; CA/CPA studying or commenced preferred.
- 1–2 years' experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role.
- Experience with reconciliations, reporting, cash flow and grant acquittals.
- Aged care and/or grant-funded industry experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, numerical and communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, adaptable and collaborative with a continuous improvement mindset.
