Reporting to the Finance Manager and working within a small team of talented finance professionals within the business you will be responsible for providing a range of accounting functions, primarily focused on financial accounting and management reporting. You will work closely with other members in the accounting team and broader business with a collaborative approach to achieving financial reporting outcomes.
This role is initially offered as a 6 month fixed term contract arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Month end close tasks, ensuring close and reporting timeframes are adhered to
- Preparation of monthly P&L accounts with commentary around variances
- Assist with statutory reporting, including BAS and Income Tax
- Journal entries, accruals and BS reconciliations
- Prepare job profitability reports
- Analyse variances to budget and obtain commentary from operational staff
- CA/CPA or equivalent qualification
- Detail oriented with an investigative mindset
- High energy levels with a collaborative approach to achieving outcomes
- Proven track record in a similar role within a commercial environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
