About the role

Leading a large finance team, you will be responsible for driving process improvement and operational performance
by executing on opportunities for greater efficiency and quality of management information.  Critically, you will embrace technology and drive the development of an engaged finance function which is a true enabler of the organisational strategy.  In doing so you engage and partner extensively with the senior leadership team.

  
Duties

  • Managing, developing and leading the finance operations function including setting budgets, forecasts and monitoring performance
  • Ensuring a client focused business partnership approach is maintained by the finance operations function in the delivery of services and interactions with all stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with all statutory and tax obligations
  • Business planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Overseeing monthly reporting and providing commentary on financial results and performance
  • Delivery of investment reporting & analysis to the Board, and compliance with prudential requirements
  • Ongoing oversight and improvement of financial controls, systems and processes
  • Cash flow and working capital management
  
Skills and Experience

You are CA/CPA qualified, and have ideally compiled an impressive track record and reputation as a high achiever within large and complex organisations. You have highly developed technical accounting skills and commercial acumen, along with proven experience managing complex and high level stakeholder relationships.  You are a big picture thinker who is able to reason at a conceptual level, while still maintaining a strong attention to detail.  Crucially, you are a natural leader with a strong depth of experience in managing large teams, and have the confidence and credibility to engage effectively and build relationships with senior executives and operational stakeholders.
