A leading ASX listed group is seeking a senior Financial Controller to lead the finance function of one of its largest and most complex divisions. The division generates over $1 billion in revenue across multiple entities in Australia and New Zealand, spanning manufacturing, distribution, and branded consumer goods.
This is a senior leadership appointment reporting directly to the Chief Financial and Operating Officer. The business has reached a point where the finance function needs to operate at a different level of scale and discipline - and this role is central to making that shift.
You will own the full financial reporting cycle across the division, lead a team of 20 across multiple business units and geographies, and play a key role in a significant transformation agenda including an ERP migration and a broader uplift of how finance is delivered. Longer term, this role is positioned as a clear successor to the CFO.

- Own divisional month end, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning processes
- Lead consolidation and reporting including balance sheet, cashflow, and NWC reporting
- Drive TM1 and Dynamics ERP upgrade as a key finance contributor
- Lead and develop a team of 20 across multiple business units and geographies
- Manage audit, compliance, transfer pricing, and tax requirements across the group
- Partner with the CFOO and divisional leadership to deliver insight-based management reporting
- Leading transformation programs
- Contribute to M&A integration and finance change programs as required
- CA or CPA qualified
- 10+ years in group or divisional reporting - listed company or large private group experience strongly preferred
- FMCG, consumer goods, manufacturing, or distribution background advantageous
- Strong systems capability - OneStream or TM1 experience highly desirable, Navision/Dynamics experience a bonus
- Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams in complex, multi-entity environments
- Experience in or exposure to ERP migrations, finance transformation, or outsourcing programs
- Confident communicator who can drive process discipline and manage stakeholders across a matrix organisation
- Clear succession pathway toward a CFOO seat in a fast-growing ASX-listed group
- Significant scope - $1B+ division, 20-person team, cross-entity and cross-border complexity
- Real transformation mandate - ERP, systems, and operating model change already underway
A dynamic, fast-moving business that expects its leaders to move with it. Finance leaders here are expected to be visible, engaged, and genuinely invested in the business - not just the numbers. Strong values around communication, collaboration, and doing what's right underpin how the team operates day to day.
