About the Role
You will play a key role in delivering NPD projects from concept through to commercialisation. This is an immediate start opportunity for a hands-on Food Technologist who thrives in a manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading formulation development, bench trials and pilot plant activities
- Managing factory scale-up and supporting successful commercialisation of new products
- Developing and optimising formulations with a focus on taste, texture, stability and cost
- Ensuring smooth transition of products from development through to Operations
- Preparing technical documentation, product specifications, and supporting artwork requirements
- Collaborating closely with QA, Procurement, Operations, and Marketing teams
- Conducting sensory evaluation, product testing, and performance assessments
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across existing products and processes
- Experience in New Product Development within food manufacturing (dairy highly regarded)
- Strong formulation, scale-up, and product optimisation capability
- Hands-on experience with pilot plant and/or factory trials
- Ability to develop technical documentation and product specifications
- Experience with sensory evaluation, stability testing, and product performance assessment
- Strong stakeholder management across technical and commercial teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for innovation
- Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline
