About the Role
You will work closely with the local operations team to assist in the day-to-day delivery of funeral services, including viewings, transfers, and other operational tasks. You will be part of a supportive, professional team, helping ensure services run smoothly while upholding the organisation’s high standards of care.
- Assist with funeral services and related operational tasks
- Drive company vehicles for site transfers (full license required – no red/green P plates)
- Follow health, safety, and operational procedures
- Contribute to a collaborative and respectful team culture
- Work in a hands-on, physically and emotionally demanding environment with compassion and empathy
- Casual opportunity with full-time or part-time availability considered
- Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, with occasional early starts or late finishes
- Flexible roster: typically 2–5 days per week, depending on your availability and operational needs
- Voluntary overtime available
- Additional shifts may be available during peak periods and for out-of-hours transfers
- Based in Lidcombe
- Work primarily from this location, with occasional travel using company vehicles if required

Essential:
- Compassionate, professional, and reliable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable in sensitive situations involving grief and bereavement
- Full, unrestricted driver’s license
- Physically and psychologically fit to handle manual tasks and emotionally demanding work
- Background in healthcare, emergency services, hospitality, retail, or other people-focused industries
- Previous exposure to funeral services is advantageous, but not essential
