About the Role

The Group Product Manager – Digital, provides strategic product leadership across the NRMA digital portfolio whilst serving as squad lead for the Member Experience squad.

This role is responsible for defining and championing the product vision, strategy and roadmap for NRMA's digital ecosystem, ensuring products and experiences create meaningful member and commercial value. The role leads the product management practice, drives innovation and experimentation, shapes investment priorities and partners closely with the GM Digital to influence the future direction of digital experiences across the organisation.



Responsibilities


Product Strategy & Innovation
  • Define and champion the long-term vision and product strategy for NRMA's digital products and customer experiences.
  • Identify emerging technologies, market trends and customer opportunities that create competitive advantage and unlock new sources of customer and commercial value.
  • Lead strategic discovery and innovation initiatives to shape future digital products, services and experiences.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, learning and evidence-based decision making.
  • Act as a product evangelist, promoting product-led thinking and member-centricity across the organisation.
  
Portfolio Management
  • Own prioritisation recommendations across digital products and squads, balancing member value, commercial outcomes, strategic alignment and technical investment.
  • Develop and maintain a rolling 12–24 month product roadmap that supports organisational priorities and future growth.
  • Shape investment recommendations and business cases to maximise return on digital investment.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, modernise and enhance the digital ecosystem to improve member and business outcomes.
  • Ensure product decisions are informed by customer insights, performance data and strategic objectives.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and coach the digital product practice of Product Managers and Product Owners.
  • Establish and continuously evolve product management standards, frameworks and ways of working.
  • Build product capability across strategy, discovery, experimentation, prioritisation, measurement and delivery.
  • Foster a high-performing product culture focused on innovation, accountability and outcomes.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to support the growth and development of product team members
  
Squad Leadership
  • Own the squad roadmap and outcomes as squad leader and champion a member-first approach to product development.
  • Lead discovery and shaping activities for strategic initiatives within the squad.
  • Partner closely with Experience Design, Technology and Business stakeholders to deliver valuable and intuitive member experiences.
  • Ensure customer insights, analytics and research are incorporated into roadmap decisions and product prioritisation.
  
Value Delivery & Performance Management
  • Define & track product success measures, OKR’s and business outcomes
  • Monitor performance across digital products and journeys, identifying areas for optimisation and growth
  • Ensure initiatives have clear benefits, success measures and measurable value outcomes
  • Drive accountability for value delivery and benefit realisation across the digital portfolio.
  • Use data, experimentation and insights to continuously improve product performance and member outcomes
  
Stakeholder management & influence
  • Build trusted relationships across business units and partner closely with senior stakeholders to align digital priorities with organisational goals
  • Influence strategic and investment decisions through compelling product vision, data, insights and commercial rationale.
  • Communicate product strategy, priorities and outcomes effectively to executive stakeholders.
  • Act as a key advisor on product strategy, roadmap direction and emerging opportunities.

Skills
  • 10+ years experience in Product Management with significant experience leading digital product teams and portfolios.
  • Demonstrated success defining and executing product vision and strategy that has delivered measurable customer and commercial outcomes.
  • Proven ability to lead product discovery, innovation and experimentation programs.
  • Experience managing product portfolios, investment prioritisation and strategic roadmaps.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to balance customer, business and technology considerations.
  • Experience coaching and developing high-performing product teams.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience engaging executive-level stakeholders.
  • Passion for digital innovation, emerging technologies and evolving customer expectations.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capability.
