Sharp & Carter has been retained by rapidly growing Australian online homewares retailer, Zanui, who are actively seeking a talented, strategic and technically astute Head of eCommerce & Digital (Marketing) to join their Senior Leadership Team. Due to tremendous growth of the company over the last few years and with a strong performance despite the Covid-19 pandemic, this newly created opportunity will lead the Digital Marketing and eCommerce function for Zanui. As a business, Zanui is committed to providing exceptional customer service levels to its ever-growing customer base along with a large range of high quality and profitable products which is reflected in their rapid online growth trajectory.
 
This role will encompass the end to end Digital Marketing and eCommerce function by developing world-class, omni-channel online acquisition, retention and conversion strategies. You will manage and own all aspects of Digital Marketing and eCommerce for the brand, leading a team of accomplished experts and agencies to drive brand awareness and implement creative strategies to ensure their success continues. You will lead a support team including developers, marketers and agencies to manage Performance, Search, Social, CRM, Email, Content and drive Online Sales Growth with your proven track record and expertise with Data Analysis and Insights, CRO, and on-trend eCommerce optimisations.

Role Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Zanui’s Digital Marketing and eCommerce Sales strategies across all touchpoints to increase traffic & convert online sales by channel;
  • Review sales by week / by day / by promotion to agree future activity ahead and track sales performance to budget, forecast & LY by promotion and key web metrics;
  • Daily/Weekly/Monthly eCommerce sales reporting & analysis, providing actionable insights;
  • Lead the marketing team onsite & offshore:
    • Manage Email Marketing strategies together with Marketing & CRM teams, including content, personalisation & segmentation strategy, re-engagement plans and driving the acquisition of new sign ups;
    • Work in partnership with the Performance marketing team to drive continued growth and profitability through paid channels;
    • Work with Performance Marketing team to execute customer acquisition and retention marketing campaigns through SEO, Social Media, CRM, online advertising, and affiliate programs.
  • Lead website updates and initiatives to constantly improve the customer journey and tactics to increase conversion, reduce bounce rate and cart abandonment;
  • Monitor website, social and digital standards and enforce best practices;
  • Communicate with end users and inter-departmental managers to build cross-functional support via websites and digital assets;
  • Analyse and provide insights around site traffic and other key eCommerce metrics with Google Analytics, dashboards and relevant business tools;
  • Monitor industry, online and mobile shopping trends, maintaining knowledge of competition and awareness of eCommerce opportunities;
  • Actively apply customer insights and business performance data to identify areas of opportunity;
  • Work with B2B sales team to optimise & implement new developments Stay up to date on current technology and marketing solutions;
  • Work closely with Buying & Planning teams on strategies that optimise online product assortments in key trading periods;
  • Working alongside CX team to analyse customer insights and improve on site experience.

In addition, the successful candidate will have:
  • Previous experience in an eCommerce leadership role, most favourably in a fast retail environment and/or Homewares;
  • Demonstrated and proven success in delivering online sales growth cross-channel;
  • Site development, technical and aesthetics expertise;
  • Experience in both domestic and international eCommerce is highly regarded;
  • A strong passion for technology whilst understanding the commercial drivers of a large omni-channel trading organization;
  • Superior analytical performance and optimization understanding which drives online channel sales growth and performance;
  • Demonstrated experience in developing online strategy, owning and leading Performance Marketing and development road maps;
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of eCommerce Platforms and common eCommerce plugins;
  • Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize and deliver high impact initiatives;
  • Understanding of fulfillment strategies, analytical and numerate skills;
  • A forward-thinking attitude, working on present-day strategy as well as preparing for the rapidly evolving future of eCommerce;
  • Excellent communication skills and a wiliness to engage effectively across the business;
  • Experience in leading and motivating a team.
