As Head of Learning & Organisational Development, you will own the end-to-end portfolio, from leadership development and critical capability building to organisational design, culture and change, early careers and technical learning.
This requires a leader who can set strategic direction, influence at the executive level, and drive consistent execution across a decentralised, project-driven organisation.
You will be accountable for:
- Defining and leading the Group's learning and organisational development strategy, aligned to business priorities and future capability requirements
- Delivering a practical, scalable learning portfolio that supports safe and effective project delivery spanning leadership programs, technical skills and early careers
- Leading organisational development initiatives that improve effectiveness, culture and performance across the enterprise
- Partnering with senior leaders to diagnose organisational challenges and design solutions that lift team and business performance
- Leading and supporting change management across significant business transformations, ensuring people and capability are central to how change lands
- Shaping leadership culture and accountability through frameworks, diagnostics and targeted interventions
- Driving workforce and succession planning that builds depth of capability and reduces key person risk
- Owning operational delivery across planning, budget, governance and performance metrics
- Leading a high-performing team with clear accountability for delivery and outcomes
- Using data and insight to measure impact, drive continuous improvement and inform investment decisions
- Significant experience in senior learning and organisational development leadership roles within large, complex, operational or project-based organisations
- A strong OD foundation, including experience in organisational design, culture change, diagnostics and change management
- A proven ability to translate enterprise strategy into practical solutions with measurable commercial impact
- Strong governance and commercial capability, including budget management, prioritisation and performance measurement
- Deep understanding of leadership development and workforce capability in safety-critical or delivery-focused environments
- The ability to influence senior leaders while staying grounded in frontline and project realities
- An outcomes-driven, pragmatic leadership style
You will have genuine influence over how a large, complex organisation builds capability and organisational effectiveness in a way that directly supports delivery, safety and performance.
The scope is enterprise-wide, the stakeholders are senior, and the impact is real.
If you are a practitioner who leads from the front, thinks commercially and builds things that last, this is a role worth pursuing.
